Kraków i Kazimierz
One of a series of educational films about the history of Jewish communities in Polish cities. We want to remind people of how Krakow’s Jews lived and perished. To tell the story of Jewish life before World War II, how the Holocaust put an end to it, and to show contemporary efforts to “recover” it and preserve the memory of it. The film also aims to highlight how this history continues to influence contemporary life in Krakow and its residents. The film has been made in a YouTube-style format and includes both animation and archival photos and video footage. Film is aimed at students in grades 7-8 of primary school and high school. The project was supported by the EEA Grants from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, as well as by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
