Who’s Reading our webside?

A Few Curious (and Slightly Surprising) Website Statistics

As the year comes to an end, we found ourselves looking back. This moment marks the first anniversary of the Mówmi Studio website, and it felt like a good time to pause, take a breath, and look at where this digital journey has taken us so far — and who has been walking alongside us.

At Mówmi Studio, we spend a lot of time telling stories. About Jewish history, memory, identity, and the long shadows (and unexpected lights) of the Holocaust. On listening, filming, asking questions, and trying not to simplify things that shouldn’t be simplified. But every now and then, it’s worth pausing to look at another story unfolding quietly in the background: who is actually visiting our website.

And honestly? The numbers tell a pretty fascinating tale.

A Truly Global Audience

So far, visitors from more than 80 countries have found their way to mowmistudio.com. That means our work is being read across continents, cultures, and time zones — sometimes late at night, sometimes early in the morning, probably always with coffee involved.

Where Are You Visiting From?

The countries most frequently stopping by are, in order:

  1. The United States
  2. Poland
  3. France
  4. Singapore
  5. China

Together, the USA, Poland, and France account for about half of all visits. That triangle alone already tells us a lot about how stories of Jewish history and Holocaust memory travel — and where they continue to resonate.

On a city level, the podium goes to:

  • Warsaw
  • Paris
  • Singapore

(We like to imagine someone in each of those cities reading the same text at the same moment — different streets, same questions.)

A Few Unexpected Facts

Here’s where it gets even more interesting:

  • About one quarter of our visitors come from countries where Islam is the dominant religion.
  • Visitors from Israel make up only around 1.5% of all traffic — a reminder that Jewish and Holocaust-related stories circulate far beyond the places we might initially expect.

What Are You Reading the Most?

The most-read blog post on our site is “Education Never Ends”, a reflection on the purpose and responsibility of film education. Apparently, questions about learning, unlearning, and staying open don’t get old — and we’re very glad about that. We’re not sure what that means exactly, but we find it reassuring. Maybe we’re all still trying to learn how to look, how to listen, how to stay open.

Let’s Talk

All of this makes us curious. So we want to ask you — directly.

What kind of content are you looking for?
What brought you to Mówmi Studio?
What would you like to read more of: reflections, process notes, historical research, personal essays, or stories from the filmmaking trenches?

If you feel like it, write to us. Or just read quietly and come back later. Either way, thank you for being here. Knowing that these stories are being read — somewhere, by someone — matters more than we can easily put into words.
